Orkut disables right click on album pics
Orkut.com, the very popular social networking site has disabled right clicks on images uploaded by people on their photo albums. This is another attempt to protect its users and to prevent identity theft. Now, i dont know if this is a good move or not, i mena so many of my friends to share their pics online for their family and friends to see and to download as well. So, instead of completely disabling the right click on photos, what orkut should have done is disabling of right click for people who are not on the friends list of a particular user.
Moreover, that is not a good idea as well and it has a walk around it. If you want to download a photo from an album from an orkut profile open the page in Firefox and then goto file-> Save Page as-> and then select the location where you want the page to be saved. When the page is saved, goto that location. Along with the file, there will also be a folder where all the files from that page will be saved. In one of those files the photo will be there.
So, lets hope Orkut finds out a better technique to prevent abuse of photos, till then you can use one of the many walkarounds like the one i have discuessed above.

Something is better than nothing!!!!
So we cannot protect images 100% but atleast some measures is good.
